[ # ] Got a Scooter
July 25th, 2006 under New Orleans

scootWow! I’ve got a lot going on right now.

I finished the grant for United Way and sent it in on Monday, July 17th. I’m still under contract with them to write additional proposals until October 1, 2006.

I started a new job at Odyssey House last week. I am a case manager for Katrina Aid Today, “helping Hurricane Katrina survivors identify sources of support, develop personal recovery plans, acquire access to services and take appropriate actions to become self-sufficient once again.”

I’ll be teaching a course at Xavier this fall and a course at Tulane’s School of Continuing Education.

And…I got a scooter!

It sounds like you’re a little happier now. I am glad to see that.

Keep up the good work.

A post on my birthday. And no ranting. Or political talk. This… this I can take. Happy birthday me.

Sweet ride. I bet you can do awesome tricks with it.

I will have to tell Linwood when I see him again that you got a scooter. He’s trying to convince his wife to buy him a Harley. Maybe if he’s sees that our former cool SS teacher has a scooter, he’ll opt for one. And then again, maybe not. Congrats on your new jobs.

I’m such a loser. I can’t talk my wife into letting me get one!

Doc, I am glad to know that you are doing well. Looks like you are enjoying life to the fullest. He came that we might have and get a scooter to make it more abundant! lol. I hope to get to see you at graduation. Thank you again for introducing me to ecotheology and the thinkers in that genre of religious thought. It affected me more than you may ever know. I reform the work we did for the south west donference an added to it and presented a more reflected, theological, and concise paper for my senior comp. Your ministry (teaching) is one that will never be forgetten in my life. Thank you. God bless and please wear a helment. I need you around when my kids get to college.
