Way to go Christianity Today! You’ve made Christians so proud! BTW, I ran across this video about progressive Christianity. It seems a little closer to the one who was described as a friend to sinners.

Being a friend with someone of different belief is not bad as long as you knew what your values are. Respect is universal and we should respect each other as a human being regardless of race and orientation.
Many GLBT folk use the term “queer” positively to refer to anyone whose sexuality doesn’t fit into predetermined heterosexual norms. It seems to be an alternative to the alphabet soup of GLBT.
But Joe-the-fake-plumber (Samuel Wurzelbacher the tax cheat) uses the term as a slur as I knew it when I grew up. This is why I, as an ally to LGBT folk, hesitate to use the term “queer” at all. I don’t think it can be rehabilitated.
And yes, the CT interview was nothing if not disappointing. It would be like interviewing David Duke about race relations.
