Here is one of my photos of the Katrina Anniversary Events. The set can be found here. I haven’t labelled them all yet. I’ll get to that tomorrow.

I had to take a three hour bus extravaganza to get a lock and air pump for my new bike. It wasn’t as romantic a ride as my previous trips. I froze my ears off so I got this hat at Target. Tell me what you think.

I rode next to a very religious woman who was having a heated conversation with her friend. She kept telling him that he needed to change his life. He needed to get to church. He had a demon in him. Unfortunately no one was sitting next to her but me. She was talking to someone sitting on the other side of her. I was hoping that she wasn’t schizophrenic. I was so hoping that she had one of those cell phone ear pieces in and was talking to someone real. But she wasn’t. It amazed me because we had a pretty coherent conversation at times. Very sad.

BTW—If you live in Nashville, you get to hear TV ads that actually contain the phrase “Gitter Done!” I hope my buddie Homan has to live here at one point in his life!

This is my first attempt at art that is an attempt to honor New Orleans. Please let me know what you think. I’ve never done anything like this before. Suggestions are welcome.
